apparently, Russian vehicle losses have forced some troops from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to ride horses.

if they get their hands on composite bows........watch out.

Not at all sure the usage of horses is mandated by loss of vehicles or an intelligent choice made by the troops in question. We all undoubtedly remember that the US SOF in Afghanistan used horses extensively, as did the allied Afghani troops. It is still "mud season" in Ukraine. Vehicles, even if available, may be a very poor choice. Horses may do much better in that terrain.

Of course, this doesn't mean the Russian vehicle losses do not matter. They undoubtedly do, particularly in necessary logistics. It probably doesn't correlate with a couple of Russian using horses though.
