I wonder if a credible internal threat to Putin will arise in 2025.

I very much doubt it. If Putin is swept away it will IMO be a "happening" where civil unrest and riots lead to paralysis of the central government. It will be somewhat like what happened to Gorbachev, where the coup to overthrow him failed but he faded into irrelevance. I don't believe a movement led by an individual is possible. Putin can kill the individual. He can't kill mass protest and the belief he can no longer rule effectively. If he falls "soon", which I doubt he will, it will be because of losing the public confidence that he is an "adequate" leader and the need for "something else".
