Jeff Passan and others note that about half of MLB teams want power hitting corner outfielders, but thinks Santander is a tough sell and could maybe be had for cheap. He made $7.4 million as an Oriole. 8 years, $150 mms., my guess.
Of the remaining players who declined a QO, Burnes is SF’s first choice. If he signs with the Giants, I think we can forget any other players who turned down QO. And yes, I am optimistic Burnes will be heading to the Bay Area.
