I thought the Big East would still get their bid and the non-AQ team would just crowd out one of the at-large spots.  This year, that probably means Oklahoma.

This is right. The Big East keeps their spot, so Oklahoma is out. Florida/Rutgers in the sugar and Florida State (or GA TECH!!)/Kent State in the Orange.

If Northern Illinois beats Kent State, though, they might not get into the top 16.
