The game was sold out, and lacking a ticket, I settled for listening in to parts of the game on KZSU. 

It's a shame that Stanford decided to put tarps on the fence at the FB stadium end.  A decade or so ago, you could watch the game from the parking lot end.  When they did put the blinders up, they made sure that it was very difficult to get a view of the game from there any more.  At the time, I figured that thoroughness reflected an attempt to sell more tickets.
