This might be interesting to some:  BBC did a few man-on-the-street interviews of Russians in a small town 100 miles south of Moscow about the Ukrainian incursion.

I found myself wondering how much their answers were influenced by the fact that authorities would be listening and could throw them in jail for spreading "false information" about the military.   The most dangerous statement was by one younger (40s?) couple who said they were getting info from TV and the Internet and there was a lot of conflicting info.

Speaking of control of information, I hadn't previously heard of the conflict between Musk/X and Brazil.  This conflict again shows the differences of opinion and the strong desires to control the story.
