Ukraine may be slowing down with their deeper recon, but they are mopping up and consolidating, and isolating Russian forces. This could be another big chunk.

The map in this post suggests that Ukraine is trying to seize the entire valley to the south and west of Snagost (which is as far west as ISW currently marks the Kursk offiensive).  I'm not sure I would call that "mopping up" because it would mark a pretty dramatic increase in the scope of the Kursk offensive.  Nevertheless, if feasible, seizing that land would help with straightening the bulges along the border and provide the Ukrainians with natural defenses to help them secure the land they've seized.
