The Ukrainian attack into Kursk was launched 81 years (and one month) after the Germans did the same to Soviet Russia, a bit of a historical echo.

Let's hope not! The Germans lost in the end, big time.

They did, largely due to a diversion of resources from the Soviet front to combat the Allied advance in Italy.  And of course, the Ukrainians are not the sort of aggressors that Germany was in 1943, though Putin is trying to say otherwise.
