I suspect that the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage was not sanctioned by the Ukraine government.  It did cause a lot of issues for Europe.  Just as you say that Ukraine is not attacking gas supply lines to Europe, I think they would disavow any official involvement in the Nord Stream sabotage.  Their existential effort depends upon the support of Europe (& others).  The best way to disavow and help keep Europe's support is to honor the warrant.  They might not if the people that did the sabotage become national heroes first.
