Chris Paul had trouble bringing the ball up last season. Podz had to actually bring the ball up on a few occasions. He's still very young, just 21. He'll still be 21 when the season starts. He's got some upside, and some fire. Same with TJD.
I don't mind losing Thompson. I'm sure we can find someone else to shoot 0 for 10 in the biggest game of the year.
I think Kuminga is finally starting to get it. And I think Moody has been criminally underused. With Paul, Thompson and Lester Quinones gone, there will be more playing time for Kuminga, Moody and Podz. Lindy Waters will be fine, and I like Melton as a defender.
I would be surprised if their 2nd round pick, Just, the 7 footer from the Netherlands, makes an impact this year.
I don't think Wiggins, at age 29, will magically return to his 2022 self. If we could trade him and a pick for Zach LaVine, Laurie Markonnen (unlikely) or Gary Trent, that's a possibility. Trent's only 25, shoots 38.3 from 3 pt. range. Lavine only played 25 games and has a monster of a contract, so the Warriors wouldn't have to give up much, I suspect. Markonnen would be expensive; prob. Kuminga, Wiggins and two draft picks.
They have 12 players, counting Gui Santos, not counting Pat Spencer.
