I’m hopeful Snell gets back by the end of May. And that he has a strong season moving forward. But I wanted Montgomery all along. Part of that is watching pitchers like Snell  kind of drives me crazy. In any event, not good so far. No question about that.

Train of thought, but I wanted Dansby Swanson, supposedly the least attractive of the four free agent shortstops two years ago. And all he did was (a) sign for the lowest amount of the four and (b) go to the All Star game for a second year in a row and © win his second gold glove in a row. On the other hand, Nick Ahmed is having a significantly better year than Swanson so far in the field. He's accepted about 25 more chances, has 2x as many DPs (10 vs. 20), and has a better Rtot (2 vs. 0). At the plate, bit of a wash. Ahmed has a better batting average, Swanson has a better OPS. And Swanson is making $26 mms. vs. Ahmed's $850k.
