Stanford rested some starters, but still got the 5-0 sweep of USF.
However, I wonder if they should have rested their 1s?
I was able to go down to campus for the first round of matches. Stanford started slow, but easily won the 2s and 4s.

I checked the live stats later, and was surprised to see the 1s going three sets. Stanford won the first set easily, as you would expect (21-8). They lost the second 20-22, and then had to hold off several match points in the third, before pulling it out 21-19. Not sure USF's 1s are that good, or if one of the Stanford players had a minor injury that was hindering them.
