Goose, any political tinge in your comments is primarily motivated by your desire to get to the truth of strategy/tactics.  I support your full analyses, and no one here should be triggered by an understanding of the context within which you mention politics.

There was a time when civil rights and the abolitionist movements were "political" and not a matter of humanity.  When people make ground truths into footballs of partisan politics, they make claims that ground truths are merely opinions.  We should not cede that ground, imo.
