This one was really curious to me.

The blocks around Oracle Park are nicer than a lot of other ballparks including Dodger Stadium.

And it's not like the ballplayers' wives and families live anywhere near the ballpark anyway.

To me this sounded like an excuse by Posey for losing the bidding war, unless he's saying he's fighting the perception of SF as portrayed in some national media, which would seem to be easy to combat by saying, "Come take a look and let me show you around".
