And speaking of Russian stealing that which belongs to Ukraine, they have apparently stolen a large chunk of Ukrainian population. I would imagine that would go a long way to alleviate the Russian population crash. This Economist article is behind a paywall. Gist is the life expectancy of the average Russian male is about the same as the average Haitian male. Because of war, emigration, disease/COVID, etc., Russia has lost millions more in population than they would otherwise normally expect...and this was in the midst of a dramatically falling birthrate.
