Couple of thoughts:
1. All of the starters were in the negative on plus/minus, from Looney and Wiggins at -6 to Klay at -13. Steph was -10.
2. All of the backups were in the positive, from Chris Paul at +5 to BP at +8 and Kuminga at +9. BP got his +8 in 11 minutes.
3. Starters shot 41.2%, backups shot 45.7%.
4. Starters played 63%, backups played 37% (151 minutes to 89).
5. Starters had 8 turnovers, backups had just one. Really good sign for the backups.
6. Backups had nine personal fouls, the two rookies had 4 (TJD) and BP had 2 in just 11 minutes.
7. Warriors had zero (0) blocks.
8. Starters and backups rebounded about the same. Warriors led in rebounds, 49-45 over the much bigger nuggets.
9. Real story is starters had just 11 assists, backups had 10. Starters not effective moving the ball.
They had a pretty good defensive night with five steals, held the defending league champs at home at altitude to 108 points. Not bad.
I like this team a lot.
