I think Melvin would be perfect.  But hedging my vote here as there could be the perfect manager 20 years younger that I don’t know about.

No hedge here.  Give me Melvin!  Gotta think job is his if they can work compensation out.  Can’t get permission, interview and then say we were kidding.

Could be quick.  He apparently is highly respected among Pacific Rim players. Yamamoto and Lee Jung -hoo are two high end targets.  Especially Yamamoto.

He’s who I’ve wanted from Day 1.  So, bias admitted and fingers crossed.

I have been a Melvinphile from the day I read The Athletic article about the dysfunction in SD.  SF needs an experienced leader.  Zaidi cannot take any risks at this point.  Melvin is the right guy at the right time.
