Other than that, Belanger is the only proven OF (chance of him signing w/ SF is low) and the Giants need a guy in the outfield who can play regularly and can make a difference both hitting and fielding.

If Coach Melvin can get in a raft of Japanese and Korean stars and other free agents, communicate with a few prima donnas on the current team, improve a raft of second-year players who might be impervious to conventional improvement means, connect with the fans, bring business back to downtown SF, bring the stores back to Union Square, re-open 1,200 restaurants shut down during COVID, cure cancer and invent cold fusion, then he will satisfy the SFG fans...
