ATACMS finally makes their appearance and lots of Russian helicopters are burning. Pretty incredible that Russia knew this was coming and still was not able to provide AD that could intercept the missiles or sufficiently harden their airfields to prevent widespread damage. I guess not that surprising given Russian history in this war, they usually need to get their noses rubbed in it a few times before making changes.

These are the oldest ATACMS, without GPS guidance and with the shortest range of about 100 miles, but with 950 cluster munitions, the heaviest cluster payload on any of the ATACMS variants.
