That's the thing.  That approach preserved eligibility -- sure -- but in the modern college football era, maximizing eligibility only matters for those with no place else to go.  No idea if last night was a fluke or not, but if #13 continues playing half as well as he did last night, he won't be on the team in 2026.  We'd be lucky to have him in '25.
