There are no apologists at this site. There are fans who want to see SF win but are realistic enough to realize there are significant organizational issues. Taking a positive approach, I might suggest this season might have been what was badly needed - a wake-up call to Zaidi that the smartest guy in the room doesn’t always have all the answers. I hope he follows through on his commitment to hire a manager who will not be just a yes man but rather a person who is comfortable challenging him. We shall see…..
As for the summary, my chips are on Luciano becoming a star (if he can stay healthy - for a young guy, he has had a lot of problems, his back issues are particularly worrisome). Otherwise, the star power is on the pitching side, especially Harrison, Whisenhunt and Black.
