Kapler stuck with him too long.  But he learned what every young pitcher does - if you pipe pitches at this level, no matter how great your stuff you are going to get hit.

He lacked command in the zone tonight. Paid the price.

He was going what, 4 or 5 innings in the minors, now 5 to 6+ ? Beck and Manaea aren't going that long. . .

Yeah, I wanted to see him stretched out a bit in Sac.  But the Giants believe they can do that at ML level.
