[Giants]

Two Observations - I tried to make these separate posts but the software keeps appending them:

1) I think we can put the Pham grumbling to bed
Here's the Athletic's Andrew Baggerly and multi-year veteran covering the team on what he heard directly from the Giants:  

In all seriousness, I inquired about whether Tommy Pham would be a complete non-starter for the Giants. Was told unequivocally that they will not consider anyone with a DV incident in their past, which includes Pham. They consider the Joc slap an assault. - Andrew Baggerly

2) Patrick Bailey's walk-off pick at first base was special
Cancel that .. PATRICK BAILEY is special. Replay showed it wasn't close. (Video in link below includes Giant's Kruk/Kuip call)

Bailey was brought into the game as a defensive substitution but he needs to be the full time catcher as these plays decide ballgames.  It certainly did last night. His offensive numbers are respectable - 256 average with 703 OPS

Thanks for the Pham comment.  I am very happy the Giants passed on him.  He is not the kinda guy I want on the team I follow….
