Also, it was the second time this season, SF won when down to their last strike in the ninth. Earlier this season, Sabol hit 2 run HR on a 1-2 pitch v. the Cardinals with the Giants behind 4-3.
St. Louis has been a Giants nemesis for years. It was good to see them go 6-1 v. the Cards even if the Redbirds are struggling.
Struggling is an understatement. Have to think Marmol is in trouble. Giants have turned the tables a bit on Cards, beat them in ‘12 and ‘14 playoffs.
Since coming to SF, Giants lead series 362-359.
Speaking of NL Central, watch out for the Reds. A lot of good young talent. Elly de La Cruz looks like the next big thing.

Down to last strike, hit game tying HR. Win in 10. Now 4 games over .500 for first time this season. Four game win streak going to play series at Dodgers who have been struggling a bit of late.
Overcame two very poor starting pitcher performances to win and sweep series.
Now 2 games up on Brewers for #3 WC spot and just 1 GB of Marlins for #2.
Can't explain dropping 2/3 at home to Cubs, but they kind of made up for it with St. Louis sweep. Giants have better road record than home record too.
I can explain. Baseball. A’s going for sweep vs Rays. Explain that!!
