After this mess of a field, articles are starting to appear clamoring for something better than the RPI. At least people are starting to understand that the RPI is a mess, even if they mostly don't understand why.
Here is one from Baseball America (that is free at the moment).
College Baseball Mulls RPI Reform In Wake Of NCAA Tournament Selections (baseballamerica.com)
Strangely, their main exhibit is claiming that Arizona got too much benefit from the RPI and shouldn't be in the tourney overy ASU. While that may be true (though I would fear UA far more right now), Arizona is hardly the poster-boy for RPI problems.
