I have to pinch myself at potential of three prospects being called up and staying in MLB this year.
Sure would be nice if some pitching prospects were coming. Harrison is letting everyone down with his control issues. The good news is he doesn’t give up hits, but will he ever stop walking guys so much?
Harrison is 21. Patience. Don’t understand the Matos/OKC neutralized comment.
As to whether he breaks in this year. I think there is an outside possibility, partly depending on injuries. When Slater and Pederson get back the spots narrow. If Slater, Yaz, Conforto, Haniger stay healthy, there isn’t a spot. Particularly with Sabol being a capable OF. But inevitably someone will get hurt. And if it’s a month or two down the road and he’s hit well, he might get the call.
Other possibility is if they are out of it at deadline and dump some of the short termers. That’s doubtful however. There is nonAL East equivalent in NL. Hover around .500 and you are in WC hunt.
