Schmitt called up.  He will start at SS tonight.  To make room on the 40 man, Ruf was DFA’d.  To make room on the 26, Stevenson was sent to Sacramento.

Will Schmitt stick? And when Crawford returns from IL, does Schmitt move to 3rd, or get sent to Sac?

Be interesting when Crawford returns.  But no way JD Davis is going anywhere.  He’s playing a terrific 3b and is a very good hitter 

I do wonder if this means Crawford is hurt worse than reported.  They aren’t calling Schmitt up for a week or two….
