There was a stat somewhere about how poorly he plays in games after he has a really good game, so maybe this was a bit of that? Not saying there might not be injury issues, that has been a thing for the Lakers all year, but he has problems following up one great game with another. I don't know how he does in the game after the bad game after the good game, though.
