I've seen reporting that Ukraine will have over 800 tanks and 1,500 armored vehicles to power its counteroffensive.

How does this compare to the numbers Russia has of both?  My assumption is because Ukraine is better trained and will use smarter tactics, even if Ukraine has fewer of both, as long as the gap isn't too large, Ukraine will prevail.  I just don't have much of an idea where the remaining inventories are now after Russia's armor and vehicles have been massively diminished since its invasion.

And even if Russia technically has more numbers, the equipment it has is inferior and can be hit before Ukraine's western equipment is in firing range for Russia's outdated crap.
