Remember also that these are geolocated positions. I think for operational security, Ukraine is actively trying to minimize the number of geolocated positions (in fact, Russian tactics involve sending convicts into the meet grinder to get Ukraine to reveal its positions, which it then hits with artillery) so there are probably a fair number of "invisible" blue dots on that map. The Russians, on the other hand, are eager to show that they are making progress, and therefore are a lot less careful about hiding their positions. In fact, Pregozin broadcast a photo of himself in front of a monument in Eastern Bakhmut. There was no operational benefit for that (I don't think), but it carried an important public relations benefits to himself and Wagner.
