Welcome the Russian JDAM to the war. This weapon isn't hypersonic. It isn't even supersonic by itself, but as the US has shown over many, many years it is a cheap and very effective munition when you have air superiority. Not flashy, but very dangerous. These weapons are also much easier to make than cruise missiles. Ukraine is right. They need an air force, or else all the rest is moot. I guess we can hope Russia can't build many of these weapons, and that may be true. However, I wouldn't count on it.
