He is. But he has a lot of company in that regard!
The top (and the very bottom) of Stanford's batting order looks good, with sprinkles of hope from the others. And the defense has been solid, other than our catchers not always catching pitches. But we need to start pounding the strike zone.
Of course, it is tough to tell what we have, as we have not yet faced tough competition. Not necessarily anyone's fault. [For example, I think the Bakersfield series is a "make up" from Covid cancellations.] But we don't really have a read yet on Stanford baseball.
The same, I suppose, is true for softball. But 16 straight is a source of hope, as is six straight in baseball. And the new softball pitcher has me thinking "is there a chance we finally have that dominant arm in the circle?"
