Why anyone listens to Putin is beyond me. Nothing he says publicly can be trusted to be accurate, so what's the point?
Some will say you need to listen to your enemies. I say why, and only operate based on actions, not words. Saw a headline "Is Russia lying about its economic data?" I'm like, do we really need to ask this question?
On another note, Russia was eerily not very showy today in Ukraine, from a big event and initiative standpoint to mark the one year anniversary of its invasion, as most observers expected.
