Sierra snowpack is approaching 200% of normal for this time of year. However, it is still about 60% of the expected season total. It’s only December, and more is on the way, but last year we had one of the snowiest Decembers on record, followed by a dry January (no pun intended). Though we were tracking for a good snowpack, we wound up the year below average.
Would be nice if this next storm is not the last of the season. In the meantime, stay safe. This was San Francisco:
