Do we know that the slow mesh wasn't Tavita's brainchild?  After all, he was the OC.

Reading between the lines at what Sam has posted, the answer is a resounding no.  To hear him tell it, Tavita was the OC in name only, and even though by giving up the title of OC, he is getting a demotion in terms of title, it sounds like he is not getting much of a demotion in terms of responsibilities.

Indeed, the only responsibility Tavita is giving up is scripting our first drives. (There's a reason they looked better and more creative.)
