There's only one person on God's green earth that would hire him in such a role, and I seriously doubt Shaw will be getting an NFL gig any time soon. That ship sailed.

Don't you think it possible/probable that Shaw set up a deal a couple of years ago with some folks to take Tavita into the NFL? Frankly, I would be surprised if he hadn't. It may be that is off the table. Why are you so sure that's the case?

Have you seen our offense that last few years? The play of our QBs? NFL coaches don't want to get fired. I would find it highly improbable that Shaw set up a deal for someone in the NFL to hire Tavita. Why would they?

Personal relationships, same reason that coaches that failed as head coach in the NFL always get multiple chances. I think it is also highly probable that some of these NFL coaches don't totally share your evaluation of Tavita. Doesn't mean they are correct, but from what I hear even on this board, some people think he at least has potential. If he interviews well, I can see it happening. Obviously it is going to be a level 3 in the hierarchy job, but that could be fine as a start. On paper at least, he is certainly qualified to be a position coach in the NFL.
