Players choose where they want to play based on multiple factors. In Judge’s case, I would guess that playing on the biggest stage in the game for the most storied franchise was a significant reason for his decision.

Agree on Judge. But here’s the other thing - there are several others out there worth signing - starting with Tier 1 : Correa, Boegarts Swanson Rodon
Tier 2. Nimmo Senga
Tier 3. Bassitt Taillon (if still available) Taylor Rodgers.
To name a few. They need to sign one of the SS’s. An SP. And Nimmo.
