Kiki has retained her moves and added a mid-range fall-away jumper that helps a lot when she has no place to go. It's a pleasure to watch these women. And, come to think about it, that is the reason we watch and love Stanford WBB. At its best, it is a beautiful sport. The wins come naturally when Tara's ballet is perfectly choreographed. Yes, we can (and many others do) win ugly. But while winning is great, and I really want another championship, when I think back over the years I remember the choreography more than the wins and the record. I can replay in my mind the incredible grace of Chiney under the basket, a graceful give and go with Wiggins streaking down the middle for a layup, amazing around-the-horn passes before a successful trey against UConn in the national semis. It is those beautiful plays that get etched into my memory and which bring me the joy of remembrance. Our team this year has the highest potential to win, and to win beautifully. I know most of us will just take the win under any circumstances. And while I will too, I have already been thrilled with the beauty of our play this year.
