HARM missiles are taking the fight to Russia..
The radar operator firing the cruise missiles got a nasty surprise.

I can believe the active missile launched from the ground was a cruise missile (vs SAM), but I don't know that.
Why would a cruise missile need radar at the launch site (other than normal air defense)?

Smells like a HARM, but why not precision artillery?  Belogrod is 40KM from the Ukraine border (but I'm not sure where the front line might be).
It seems like radar installations at an airport would be fixed targets. Why use a HARM?

If the launcher was mobile, and several missiles were launched in a row, I could imagine pre-positioned spotters or drones could have given an accurate fix from the first launch in seconds.  But unless there was an aircraft almost on top of the base, the explosion at the launch site seems unlikely to be in reaction to the launch just seconds before.

I will appreciate someone clarifying what the video shows..

Edit: Yeah, SAMs make sense. We see 3 missile trails, not closely bunched. So the targeting radar was on, and a missile was launched that homed in on it.
(I was hoping they had taken out a cruise missile launcher.)
