So Russia says it will add 300,000 "troops" to the fight in Ukraine. My understanding is these are A) people who don't want to fight; C) Criminals taken from prison; C) Barely or poorly trained; and whatever their status, poorly equipped and supported by weak logistics.
So the question is out of this 300,000 number, what is it really in terms of capable fighters? I mean will 50% refuse to fight or be beaten like Kent State against Alabama this week? The 300,000 number sounds significant, but based on Russia's past behavior, this is just more propaganda puffery designed to make Russia look way stronger than it really is.
If it was 300,000 capable fighters, Ukraine might draft every man under 50 to fight (as my developer in Ukraine suggested would happen), but that seems less likely now given how things have evolved for Ukraine since July.
