LOL. Wee Willie Keelers. Another one called up today. I guess Mercedes was sent down after he butchered that play at First Base a few games ago? And, of course, my family's favorite player, Slater, is on the shelf again. That's what he gets for the head first slide.

Slater (and Greg Johnson, the Giants Chairman) were both on the Competition Committee that decided the new rules.  The Cardinals were the only other team represented by a player and the team owner on the committee.

Note:  The ghost runner was not part of the discussion.  That rule will be in effect next year.

My understanding is the Union wanted the ghost runner.
