In my teen years I worked on a farm that had a cantankerous 700-800 pound boar.  He'd rush us when we had to go into his pen - a task we avoided if at all possible at 17 years old. 

Do I believe a 700 lb aggressive boar could take down a 70 year old man?  Yes, I definitely do.

(And a 700 lb short-sighted angry boar is not as cute as the 40 lb piglets in the SF Gate picture!)
