Steve Barber was recognized as the hardest thrower of his era, of course until he was hurt. Late 50’s, early 60’s. He was “timed” through high speed motion picture cameras (Film!). Probably was the Lo Cam built on the Peninsula. The science is complicated but I used the equipment (you had to rent, not for sale) a few times including a test at Lockheed of a second stage moon rocket miniature that sprayed nuts and bolts all over the room and just missed my bunker. Barber was credited with a speed near 94mph.
