Pretty important news, for the whole world really. Hopefully this goes off smoothly.

The Turkish leader has been the point on this.  To me, this helps to explain the relative hard-line words re NATO membership.  He needed at least to keep up appearances to Russia until this agreement was signed.

Now, the question is, does he soften his stance?
