No matter how confident a team is in a player, something can always derail them. Confidence in something happening doesn't guarantee it will happen. When I said the Giants didn't know Harrison was a can't miss prospect, that was a correct statement. It's not proven until he actually is established in MLB with a sub 3.00 ERA and other impressive performance metrics as a starting pitcher.
You guys act like I was denigrating Harrison. Nothing could be farther from the truth. My entire point was that the Giants can't know about Crawford any more than they could Harrison or any other pick they have made. If they were so clairvoyant, their draft performance since 2015 wouldn't be the worst in MLB by kind of a lot. But it's not like only the Giants don't know. Nobody really does until a player proves themselves at the MLB level.
