I think that is probably a good choice if it is available. I suspect Rodon really wants to listen to all the offers available and will wait until it is "legal" to receive them from other teams. If the Giants offer X dollars today, no matter how big X is there will be the suspicion that somebody else will offer 1.05X. It costs him nothing to wait, except possibly the risk of injury. Why should he sign at this point?
