Not seeing how those examples are analogous. Meningitis in dorm environments is a known problem. No evidence has been presented that Stanford knew of any widespread problem of students using adulterated percocet, or that the DA had told them directly there was a problem at Stanford.

Does Stanford have to tell students not to drive over the speed limit? Not to shoot people? How does safe consumption of illegal drugs fit anywhere into a university's remit?
