Fun facts re: Giants.
The 2010 and 2012 teams had the same record as the 2022 team after 53 games -- 29-24. The 2014 team was five wins better at 34-19. So...I'm not concerned yet.
The 2022 Giants have scored the third most runs per game in the NL. Their WHIP and ERA are both 10th of 15 teams. They are dead last in Total Zone Total Fielding Runs Average above average, which combines all defensive metrics into one disastrously comprehensive number for the Giants. It's funny...they're 7th in most errors and ninth in fewest runs allowed per game.
Could they improve? Maybe. The great coaching had better kick in quick, though.
