That collection of talent only won a couple?  Wow.  As I wrote, it is surprising they didn’t win several.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have already won three with the threesome of Green, Thompson and Curry forming the core for the entire run…

I think the front end of those Knicks teams ran into the back end of the great Celtics teams (Jones, Havlicek, Russell, Siegfried, Nelson), plus the back end of the Knicks teams ran into the other great Celtics team that included Cowens, JoJo White, Havlicek, Chaney, Nelson, Paul Silas and Paul Westphal.  They also faced Lakers teams that had Chamberlain, West, Goodrich, Baylor, Erickson, Hairston, and others; and the Bucks (Kareem, Oscar Robertson, Dandridge, Jon McGlocklin, Lucius Allen). And of course there was that little upstart in the SFBA with Rick Barry, Jamaal Wilkes, two headed center monster of Cliff Ray and George Johnson, guards Charles Johnson, Charles Dudley, Phil Smith, Jeff Mullins, PFs Happy Hairston and Derrick Dickey, and Al Attles, a/k/a the Toughest Coach In the World.  The Warriors were 3-1 vs. the Knicks that season with the one loss being a one-pointer in which they had 34 turnovers.
