Something I read today….
Not a trivia question, just an amazing item (one of the most improbable I have ever read).
Three franchises are recognized today as founding members of the NBA, the Celtics, Warriors and Knicks. They were members of the BAA prior to becoming part of the NBA (the NBA officially traces its history back to 1946 when the BAA was founded. They do not recognize the NBL as part of their history).
Anyway, this year marks the 75th consecutive year, a former, current or future Knick will participate in the league championship finals. In other words, every championship series ever played has included a player who was a Knick at some point in his career.
